Starcraft and Philosophy of the Future

I began my obsession with StarCraft the summer before 1st year university. There are three races, Terran - future humans, Protoss - advanced aliens, Zerg - nature/evolution based primitive aliens. I focused on Zerg when I was playing, always looking to get the biggest economy. Every time the opponent stops pressuring you grow exponentially. Then I tried a bit of Terran using marines for high speed play to out micro the opponent. Protoss never really interested me. I had some success in local tournaments getting third, third, and second. In the PC bang's in Korea I learned from the Korean ladder and saw that the game was so much more complex than what was going on in the Americas. Thats what helped me get the second place tournament win. Eventually I got tired of SC2 and moved on to world of warcraft then CSGO. Now I play SC2 when I get the opportunity and nothing else. But for the last year I have been playing Terran. I find it way more fun and there is something about practising space war with your own race that gives a philosophical thrill. StarCraft is set around 2500 CE. The humans have colonized a lot of the galaxy. They get involved with the Zerg and Protoss who were fighting each other. But what kind of future do I foresee? The first thing that I think of technology. Things like the human condition may even change. If you think even the difference that 50 years makes from 1960 to 2010 then to 2060. We are evolving with technology at exponential rates. Around me a find a lot of pessimistic people when it comes to the future. I think that the future will be painful and beautiful, full of adventure and peace. Only technology will advance giving us different levels of luxury and oppression. I foresee a lack of connection to nature and people returning to it for health, when the synthetic has failed. I see Humanity colonizing the solar system in the next 100 years. People living on other planets permanently. People also living in space ships in orbit around planets. Space hotels, bars, and homes. Space as the playground for the ultra rich or the skilled worker. As technology advances space will become accessible for the group. A flight to the other side of the plant will leave the atmosphere. People buying small space ships for work or adventure. Kind of like buying a car is today. I see Capitalism as the economy of the future. Private property will be the foundation of our distribution system. There exists many different economies on earth. For nations there only two that remain communist are North Korea (completely communist) and Cuba (Communist/Liberal).Time is a whole debate. I learned un university that it is a straight line with us in the middle at the present moment. Then I learned in India that it is a circle. Mabye it's not to observed. I always think about using knowledge that we don't understand. While I was in Mexico a Shaman told me that if two objects touch their quantum make up will be marked with this and it could be observable by science. What If you have a hypothesis and you act of it. Are you using future science. Questions of technology and religion in the future may become blurred. For example a spaceship has to navigate the galaxy they are going into hyperspace. Do they compute the universe where time is a straight line or a circle. I guess either way time would be a line so there is maybe compatibility with both. There are so many supercomputers on earth trying to figure out what the future will look like. It probably looks something like lots of technology, different cultures mixing on projects, increases connectivity with improvements in the internet and transportation. Future politics are always changing and I'm sure we will see all kinds of different projects coming from different parts of the world. Russia is bent on libertarian capitalism, while China has embraced capitalism with a socialist spin. The USA is a capitalist nation but it is a democracy and open to change. In Latin America they have socialist roots, and less in Asia. Africa is so corrupt that socialism doesn't work and after the cold war it is left mostly in authoritarianism and capitalism.  The thing about the future is that you can't see it. It's just a theory or a probability. The future is something that can be prophesied without a supercomputer or divine intervention. You think tomorrow I will go to work and then the next day you are there. It's like hypothesis and result. I am not so obsessed with trying to predict the future, but instead I like to plan things. Goals for the future are healthy and are not predictions. When I was mentally ill in Saskatoon I was having visions of the future. They were short sounds or visions that would start at the present moment then over 30 minutes I would see to to the of time. Now, I don't know that time ends, but even in the Hindu time circle there is a start and an end it just repeats. this is in the Mahabrahrata. The story is all about the amrita. In the first yuga the amrita is made by stirring the ocean for eon. The coming out of the ocean was the amrita. The devas and asuras fought over this having the devas win in the first yuga, asuras in the second, and in the third the devas gave the nectar of immortality to the asuras and cut their heads off. They then stringed their head into necklaces and imprisoned them around their neck. Now we are here in the final and forth yuga being kali yuga. It is also the shortest yuga. A yuga indicates a long period of time within the circle. The first is the longest, then the second is 1/2 the time of the first then, the third 1/2 the time of the second, and same with kali yuga.I had some visions of the future and the main thing that confused me was myself. I was in such a confused and slavish state while talking to myself and I could not fathom how successful I was. I was able to be so calm in complex situations, and my knowledge of yoga and philosophy had gotten to be so tacit. wasn't afraid of bhakti yoga and was just a Dad living his life. There were some bad stuff where I was overwhelmed or in pain. I'm not saying any of my vision are true prophecy and not mental illness. But, perhaps time can be broken and you can see what leaks from the pipes. On the future we will have fast space ships, aliens, more technology, Bitcoin, luxury, slaves, art, love, science, political revolution, abundance, comfort, and a shift From irony to sarcasm. There are many ways to approach the future. Just thinking about it using your instinct can be a powerful tool. Watching sci Fi movies we see lots of ideas about futuristic technology and customs. One thing that I know will happen in the future is things will speed up. People will talk faster, computers transfer and compute quicker, athletes running faster. People are already abounding the fast paced lifestyle with meditation apps, trips to their ashram, yoga, and opiates. While the phenomenon of slowness will always exist, the pace has already sped up. The 20th century was a action packed, meth infused, rajisic party. Now with video games and the internet we are connected and full of dopamine. Personally I like quick things, quick internet connection, people like the Buddha that talk fast.Clearly the bohrian atomic theory is the system of the future. As well as the dominant fields of quantum physics and special relativity. What place does ancient elemental systems have in the future. I know in Ayurveda the elements of  air, water, and fire are continued to be takes seriously. In the future we will see a return of religion. With science and religion getting closer together it is possible to believe in God and remain an atheist. The Gods are just powerful agents in our realm and can be scanned and seen on a screen. People will not fear infinity and we will see religions embrace science.

The End
